{classic hobby horse} sewing pattern

My classic hobby horse sewing pattern is here - one of my all time favourite designs. And now you can make one too! Hobby horses are all sorts of good old-fashioned fun. Are you ever really too old to ride one? I think not.

It makes an irresistible gift for a horse loving child. Or if it's a unicorn your child dreams of, you can make that too. Whichever you choose, it's a fun sewing project with step-by-step instructions, ideal for the intermediate sewer who has experience with hand-embroidering and making soft toys.

And they make beautiful keepsakes. You could even make one from vintage textiles. Raid grandma's linen cupboard maybe? Hint hint grandma... Or pick something up from your local thrift store. Embroidered doilies make gorgeous unicorn horns don't you think?

The tutorial includes plenty of photos and stitch guides and don't be daunted by the wood-working. It's pretty basic stuff. If I can do it, you can too - believe me.

If you don't want your floor knocked about, try making this riding sock. You can find the free tutorial here.
